The runway is also set for the make-up looks of the models by the artistry of MAC Cosmetics and trendy hair styles by the Folded & Hung Famous Salon.
With this world-class fashion event full of creative minds, the future of Philippine fashion is sure to move forward to a bigger platform. Pushing this forward, innovative brands such as Philips will provide PerfectCare Iron for the designers’ creations. The catwalk will also get more lively as you witness a parade of prints and patterns inspired by the designers’ limitless imagination made possible by EPSON’s digital textile printing technology.

Queen Before the last Miss Universe pageant, the designer had never made a pageant gown. But his muse, Maxine Medina, challenged him to produce gowns worthy of our queen to wear with pride and confidence. Today, the “pageant gown” gets a fresh, new look with Rhett’s streamlined silhouettes and tasteful embellishments, but no less attention-getting with its bold colors and striking details. Witness the NEXT of Rhett Eala – a collection that embodies a true beauty queen inside and out in “Queen”.

Dark Romanticism Inspired by a quote from Karl Lagerfeld – “We live in a dark and romantic and quite tragic world.”, the looks interpret the madness and inner workings of the human mind in the form of grotesque and sharp fabrics. Witness the NEXT of Pablo Cabahug – a take on the darker realm of indulgent fashion in “Dark Romanticism”.

Putting into the spotlight young, fresh talents, MFF will stage the comeback of SoFA Design Institute graduation show. Expect it to be another exciting showcase of fresh pieces by new breed talents that will surely set their names in the fashion industry.
AirAsia and MFF are also on the lookout for young aspiring designers in the country to further develop potentials and discover new talents. Two winners will showcase their designs and represent our country for the AirAsia Runway Ready Designer Search 2017 happening at the Kuala Lumpur Fashion Week 2017 this August. On-ground registration will be open for the hopefuls at the MFF.
Ephesians 6:12 Embodying a warrior in an armor suit – metallic sheathing, a nude gunmetal palette, the looks remind us of the human the warrior represents – with great vigor, aggressive, the one who walks in the light. The details represent fortifications of pains of victory; where warriors get their side of heaven (peace).

Fugue Suggestive of The Fight Club, the collection explores the world of insomniacs expressed in contrasts of complex yet relaxed and tough yet fragile looks. Hysteria is translated in silhouettes of disrupted use of “cracked” seam lines reinforced with fagoting stitches to embody a deranged persona.

City Surfer See a different twist in sportswear with a collection born from the curiosity of the designer about how surfers transport their boards from city to the sea, and the froth trails they create when they paddle their boards in the water. Each piece will show the flow of a surfer’s deep connection to the ocean, even beyond the breaking waves.

At the end of the shows each day, afterparty celebrations will happen with overflowing drinks to be provided only by Grey Goose. To cap off the event, Folded and Hung will end the show, featuring its Spring/Summer 2017 collection, and will host a summer-themed finale party full of drinks and fashion.
