The Beach Caves brings together a collective of cultural creatives from across the island to celebrate Ibiza´s colourful history through design, art, music and food, introducing a new and eclectic energy in a hidden corner of the north.

Opening this May at Six Senses Ibiza, The Beach Caves is an exciting new destination that brings a unique, sophisticated and fun approach to dining, music, and entertainment to the White Isle’s beautiful north.

Located oceanfront and overlooking Xarraca Bay, The Beach Caves will be home to a restaurant and bar that celebrates produce from Ibiza and takes inspiration from Latin America. It is also home to a private dining room, a speakeasy-style cocktail bar, a nightlife venue, a state-of-the-art recording studio, six impressive Beach Cave Suites, with direct access to the Mediterranean Sea and sweeping views of Ibiza’s famed sunsets, and a future retail ´kiosk´/gallery.

The Beach Caves is a collaboration between Six Senses Ibiza’s owner and developer Jonathan Leitersdorf and hospitality pioneer Ben Pundole, who has taken the reigns as the Beach Caves Creative Director, and has been visiting Ibiza since he was a child, working alongside Ben’s partners Michelle Reiss and Shiry Yosef to bring the vision to life.

“The Beach Caves is a welcome addition to Six Senses Ibiza, and marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for the brand. It reflects the history, excitement, and eclectic spirit of the Island,” says Ben Pundole. “Through its unique design and extensive programming, we aim to create an incredible destination for both hotel guests and the local community to eat, drink, dance, shop, and sleep. The cultural programme will include art, music, and live performances, as well as a focus on environmental and community initiatives including ongoing support for Six Senses Ibiza´s conservation partner at Ibiza Preservation Fund, and bringing on new partnerships with The Lonely Whale foundation and Project Zero.”

Rounding out the team, globetrotting DJ and Ibiza resident Taryn Picket joins as Music Director. Taryn will oversee the live music programming with an emphasis on local talent, as well as managing the Recording Studio schedule for local and international artists. Kamil Parchomienko also joins as The Beach Caves impresario, having worked alongside Andre Balazs for almost 20 years in Miami, New York, and LA. Originally from Europe, Kamil´s experience brings a unique energy with his own personal brand of sophistication and fun to help create meaningful experiences and magical moments for guests.

With music, community, and celebration at its core, The Beach Caves will exude Balearic spirit and promise to be unapologetically ‘Ibiza’. In the spirit of collaboration, the team has partnered with local artists, artisans, and performers, including a collective of notable international talent such as Duran Duran, Benji B, and Blondish, to create an annual programme of events and activations including live performances, art installations, an artist-in-residence program and a series of talks and workshops unique to this part of the island. The ongoing cultural programme will be open for hotel guests and islanders alike, bringing a strong sense of community to the space. The Beach Caves has also partnered with ‘diego&alexeja’, the Ibiza-based creative design studio founded by Alexeja Pozzoni and Diego Alonso, creators of the island’s beloved ChAI ShOP Shop, an appointment-only showroom. Crafting sublime spaces designed for energetic cleansing and creative escape, ‘diego&alexeja´ brings the unique poetic spirit of Ibiza into the design of The Beach Caves.

The Beach Caves will bolster Six Senses Ibiza’s dedication to sustainability, including a ban on single use plastics and a commitment to seeking the best local and seasonal produce. The Beach Caves Restaurant will operate a zero-waste philosophy, and guests booking the Beach Cave Suites will be encouraged to offset their carbon footprint through a partnership with Carbonfund.org. As part of the ongoing support for the local community, the team will donate 1 Є from the sale of every Los Gatos cocktail sold at the Beach Caves to the Happy Hippie Cat Sanctuary. With a focus on social sustainability, The Beach Caves will strive to sustain a healthy, enjoyable, and supportive employee culture.

The Beach Caves Restaurant and Terrace: This new concept by Ben Pundole celebrates locally sourced, seasonal ingredients; Latin American flavors inspired by Peru and Mexico; and the Mediterranean respect for produce. The 108-seat restaurant and seafront terrace overlooking Xarraca Bay will feature signature dishes artfully paired with eclectic cocktails and an impressive selection of natural, organic wines. Tucked away, the Private Dining Room seats up to 18 guests for celebratory group dining.

Menu highlights Include the Oven Baked Pastelito, served with smoked corn, zucchini, and cilantro, the Lemon Fish Tiradito, which is paired with guayaba, pomegranate, and chilaca pepper, the Formentera Red Lobster Taco, freshly grilled with avocado and lime, and the Warm-Roasted Pineapple quinoa.

Overlooking the dining room is a newly commissioned floor-to-ceiling mural created by Montreal-born contemporary artist, Carlito Dalceggio, whose work across painting, sculpture, objects, and performance spans the globe from Mexico City to Bangkok.  Named La Asamblea de los Espíritus Libres (‘The Assembly of Free Spirits’), the mural celebrates peace and freedom at a time when the world needs it most.

The Bar at The Beach Caves: This welcoming all-day-into-night venue is spearheaded by award-winning drinks expert Davide Segat, previously the global Director of Bars for EDITION hotels and recently NoMad London. His uplifting, innovative approach to cocktails explore the unique flavours and produce of the island. The Bar will also offer a curated selection of agave-distilled spirits, tequila and mezcal.

“It’s a dream to be curating a drinks program in Ibiza and to create cocktails with the herbs and produce from the Island. Ibiza has such a rich history of community and celebration, it’s great to be a part of a project that celebrates the island’s natural and authentic roots,” says Davide Segat, Director of Bars at The Beach Caves.

The Xarraca Room: A centrepiece of The Beach Caves is an intimate nightlife venue offering arts and music programming in partnership with Barcelona-based artist and designer Lydia Delgado in collaboration with Fabre I Fauquie Studio. The art and decoration of the Xarraca Room, based on the creation of a secret garden where the pleasures of the soul take place, will transport guests to a new world of wonder. The small-scale venue will host local and world-renowned DJs, artists, performers, and musicians, boasting a world class drum and bass sound system for a superior listening experience. The Xarraca Room will also be available for private hire up to 150 people.

The Recording Studio: Complete with equipment for producing, mixing, and recording music, this exclusive space is designed for creative collaboration, with an experienced in-house engineer on hand. At the heart of musical culture and community, it is located directly adjacent to The Xarraca Room and can also be accessed via a secret door from the exclusive Cave Royale Suite.

The Cave Royale Suite: Inspired by the free-spirited, unburdened, and festive nature of Ibizan culture, this generous accommodation overlooking the water features an oversized bed, expansive bathroom, full bar, and outdoor tub. The suite is designed for guests to enjoy an effortless flow from indoors to outdoors, whether relaxing in seclusion or enjoying Ibiza’s up-tempo energy.

Cave Suites: Offering out-of-the-ordinary escapism, the one-bedroom Cave Suites encompass a maximalist oversized bed and a large outdoor terrace on the water’s edge, providing sweeping views of the bay. Packed with elevated design cues and modern comforts, the suites offer space for true reconnection with the self and the unique regenerative power of the sea.
