For the past five years Eastwood Richmonde Hotel has been giving back to the community of Quezon City by way of donations to the Reception and Study Center for Children (RSCC), a residential facility that houses abandoned, abused, exploited, and orphaned children aged six and below. Now on its 6th year, Eastwood Richmonde enjoins its guests to extend their love and care to the residents of RSCC through its Angel of Hope program. For every PhP 200 donation, an angel ornament will be displayed at the Christmas Tree of Hope in honor of the donor. All donors will also get a chance to win an overnight stay in the raffle, plus an assortment of goodies when they play the Help Angel Afriel game. All cash contributions will be endorsed to RSCC to help fund the daily operations of their housing units, including the provision of their medical, educational, psychological, and dietary requirements, plus other needs of the children.
Over at Richmonde Hotel Ortigas, refreshing and sweet treats await all kindhearted kin this year. Ongoing all year round for several years already is the Chocolates for Charity at the Lobby Café where for every purchase of the chocolate lollipops (PhP 30nett/pc), part of the proceeds from the sale will go to three foundations supported by the hotel, namely, C.R.I.B.S. (Create Responsive Infants By Sharing) Foundation, which nurtures and cares for abandoned babies and sexually abused young girls; Caritas Manila, the lead Catholic agency for social services of the Archdiocese of Manila with programs directed towards the development of marginalized people; and the Bahay Kanlungan ni Maria Domenica, which provides shelter for old, destitute people. For this holiday season, Richmonde Ortigas launched the Christmas Chari-Tea to raise additional funds for these non-profit organizations so they can continue with their noble causes. The Chari-Tea is a specially blended frozen strawberry iced tea which will be available all season-long at all the restaurant outlets of the hotel for only PhP 185 nett. As with the lollipops, proceeds from each order of the Chari-Tea will be donated to the hotel’s chosen charities. Cash donations may also be made at the Lobby donation box or at the Front Desk.
