Seda Lio offers a complete range of facilities in a prime location close to the Lio airport
Ayala Land’s wholly-owned Seda Hotels has opened its first resort, Seda Lio, in the 325-hectare Lio Tourism Estate in El Nido, Palawan. Seda Lio offers a complete range of facilities and amenities catering to travelers in this vast tourism estate intended to make the world-famous attractions of El Nido more accessible to foreign and local travelers. Only a few minutes from the airport, the resort-hotel caters to leisure tourists, families, destination weddings, meeting and incentive groups, and other discerning visitors to this stunning vacation spot that offers modern facilities and conveniences, while showcasing the area’s biodiversity and spectacular natural attractions.
Seda Lio expands the current accommodation options consisting of luxury resorts on the adjacent islands, and bed-and-breakfast types in town.
Just minutes away via electric car from the Lio airport, Group General Manager Brett Hickey says that it will only take guests from Manila 70 minutes from takeoff to touchdown at Lio, transfer to  he hotel, and to having a welcome drink on hand.
Guests can enjoy a wide range of facilities and amenities. Within the hotel grounds are the 1800 sqm swimming pool, Seda Spa, Children’s Playroom, Game Room, Pool Bar and Misto restaurant; while on the four-kilometer stretch of beach are non-motorized water sports like kayaking, stand-up paddle boarding, pedal boating, as well as snorkeling. Ayala Malls’ Shops at Lio is just a short stroll away. Those who wish to go further out can arrange for island-hopping tours of Bacuit Bay’s iconic sites.
All the aforementioned advantages work just as well for team building and incentive groups. In addition to having 153 rooms, its fully-equipped, airconditioned function rooms can accommodate up to 100 people seated, even more with the adjoining outdoor patios of the main event venue. It also has three meeting rooms and two boardrooms.
Hickey says the resort aims to be a leading wedding and meetings destination in the country. Couples will appreciate the various options that allow them to make the occasion as traditional or unique as they want it to be: a beachfront wedding and reception; a more conventional indoorceremony in one of the largest indoor venues in El Nido; outdoors in the gardens, or even poolside. Each venue has its own advantages, but all offering great possibilities for this event of a lifetime.
Seda Lio is a low-rise structure with only three floors or no taller than the surrounding coconut trees in keeping with Lio Tourism Estate’s sustainable development masterplan. It is also adopting eco-friendly practices to limit its impact on its immediate environment.
“We will be addressing environmental concerns at Seda Lio,” Hickey explains, “in addition to offering guests our brand of genuine Filipino hospitality aligned with the premier service standards offered by top-tier destinations.”
