Christmas is a highly anticipated holiday, this side of the North Pole. Among the signs that Christmas is around the bend is the unveiling of Rustan’s Christmas window showcase. Year after year – for many years, to date – the retail giant lovingly puts together stunning Christmas vignettes in each of its windows. As an added treat, the Tantoco family, founders and proprietors of the family-run business, plays host to an intimate “Noche Buena” for members of the media, family, friends, and special guests, with special performances, sumptuous food, and Yuletide cheer abound, to kick-off the season.
For the first time, however, Rustan’s held a grand unveiling of their iconic windows along Ayala Avenue. The displays are stunning collections of majestic and fanciful Christmas décor interspersed with fashion. The grand reveal – complete with music, street performers, ballerinas, and a rain of tinsel confetti – made the annual Christmas affair even more meaningful.
