The Standard, London to collaborate with royal baker Claire Ptak, of Violet Cakes to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee
The capital’s most talked about hotel, The Standard, London, has announced a partnership with fashion (and royal) favourite baker, Claire Ptak of Violet Cakes to celebrate this year’s Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Weekend.
Best known for her cult, colourful California cakes and having baked the famous wedding cake for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Claire Ptak brings a slice of her royal flair to The Standard, London for the ultimate Jubilee collaboration with a twist. Designed especially for the celebration and available exclusively to hotel guests from 2 – 7 June, this cake stands one metre tall. The rich dark chocolate cake is spiked with blackcurrant-violet liquor and filled with a compote of English blackcurrants and a violet buttercream, all flavours reported to be the Queen’s favourite, and of course The Standard’s too!
Guests can get in on the action over the landmark weekend and enjoy a slice of the exclusive chocolate cake when booking the Slice Of Royalty room package.. Wash it down with a bottle of Champagne upon arrival and raise a toast (or two) to the long weekend celebrations.
The Standard, London’s exclusive Jubilee Cake will be also available for a limited time in Violet Cakes Bakery from the 7th June.
