Rosewood Le Guanahani Opens its Doors

Rosewood Le Guanahani debuts today on the vibrant island of St. Barth in the Caribbean. The resort has been an icon of hospitality since it originally opened in 1986 and has undergone a comprehensive four-year reimagination that preserves its unique spirit while infusing contemporary amenities and design details, as well as our guiding A Sense of Place® philosophy.

Drawing inspiration from its pristine setting, the architecture and design of Rosewood Le Guanahani have been conducted by David M Schwartz Architects and Luis Pons Design Lab. From the accommodations to the dining areas to the spa, each space has been carefully conceived to immerse guests in the local culture and style while simultaneously making them feel as if they are at home.

Rosewood Le Guanahani’s 66 accommodations reflect the unique history, heritage and style of the French Caribbean. Designed as residential, freestanding spaces, each of the 29 guestrooms, 27 suites and 10 signature suites features its own private outdoor space, with 20 offering new private swimming pools.

Serving as the social hub of the resort, the brand new Beach House St. Barth invites diners on a multi-sensory culinary journey, in an open-air enclave with an array of unique dining experiences, each with breathtaking views. Beach House and its accompanying cocktail lounge, Bar Mélangé, showcase the island’s French and Caribbean influences and traditions in food and beverage to foster a deepened connection with the destination’s heritage.

Sense, A Rosewood Spa incorporates the island ethos and natural surroundings in its design for a uniquely immersive journey across the facility’s four treatment rooms, two couples’ suites, hydrotherapy area and adults-only pool. It is further equipped with a state-of-the-art gym, blow-dry bar, nail salon and full-service tennis facility.

Rosewood Le Guanahani offers an unparalleled selection of guest activities, amenities and services rooted in the signature spirit of the destination. A highlight is the Rosewood Explorers children’s club that combines entertainment with education and a variety of locally inspired activities that aims to cultivate children’s creativity, cultural appreciation and social responsibility through adventure.

The property has embarked on the next chapter of its illustrious history under the Rosewood flag so please join me in extending warm congratulations to the entire team at Rosewood Le Guanahani and wish them the best of success for their opening.
