The burgeoning dining destination that is Poblacion, Makati recently added another player to the scene with authentic Italian outfit Pastadito Italian Restaurant and Deli.
Founded on their burning passion for downright good food, Pastadito owners Eleanor and Roberto Fazzini pride themselves on delivering true Italian fare at prices that won’t break the bank.
“Since we are a distributor and we are also an importer, our price is a little bit more reasonable and not very expensive compared to other Italian restaurants. Second, we can introduce anytime a new recipe,” Roberto told Expat, referring to their 21 years of experience with Italfood Distribution, Inc.—a company distributing Italian food products, equipment and wines.
“Our dishes are more authentic [because] we use all Italian ingredients. We also use recipes and ingredients which are not available in other restaurants,” Eleanor added.
Despite having three chefs working the Pastadito kitchen, Eleanor is very hands-on when it comes to preparing the dishes, bringing her home-cooked style, which translates to a cuisine she describes as simple, straightforward, yet done with a lot of care.
“[One of the] plates that bring a smile to your lips is the Spaghetti Pomodoro because the simplicity always wins.”
This warm simplicity is carried over to the restaurant’s interiors, which features minimalist furniture, as well as ornaments from the owners’ travels that fuses into a contemporary space eliciting a homey vibe, perfect for those on the lookout for a relaxing meal.

Pastadito’s signature dish – Spaghetti Allo Scoglio (Seafood Spaghetti) – is given its distinct flavor by the juices the mussels, clams and shrimps release as they’re cooked. It is generally served spicy, but more sensitive palates could readily request for a milder version of this comfort fare.
Their Cordon Bleu Chicken Sandwich packs a healthy, delicious punch being made with white meat and mozzarella; while a couple of other must-try’s are their Ziti Al Porcini E Tartufo—a Ziti pasta with Porcini Mushroom and Truffle; and Pork Saltimbocca in Marsala Sauce—a popular Italian dish topped with prosciutto and basil partnered with Italian pasta rice.
And of course, at Pastadito, you have your fill of what else – pasta, with at least 19 different types of pasta available any day of the week. They also offer a variety of other dishes like Italian cold cuts, soups, salads, and a slew of beef, pork and chicken-based mains to complement their pasta offerings.
Last quick tip, all of the fore mentioned goes absolutely perfect with wine.
You’re welcome!
