Hong Kong is Calling! Top Must-Visit New Attractions

The Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office, Jakarta (HKETO Jakarta) recently hosted the “Marvels in Hong Kong” media event, in collaboration with the Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) in Manila, to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the establishment of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR).

According to the Regional Director of Southeast Asia of the HKTB, Mr. Raymond Chan,“Hong Kong has taken another substantial step to reconnect with the world by lifting the quarantine requirement for overseas visitors. With new infrastructure developments and experiences in Hong Kong, the city cannot wait to welcome Philippine travelers back to Hong Kong to experience the new tourism offerings.”

The HKTB also invited “Hong Kong Super Fans” in the Philippines to share their personal views and tips for tourists visiting Hong Kong. Mr. Richard Juan, one of the Super Fans, said, “(In) Every single corner of Hong Kong, there’s always a good local restaurant. After a long night of working or clubbing, people go to these local restaurants like Tsui Wah for their Wonton noodles. Even the small ones along the streets are good!” Another Super Fans member is Ms. Isabelle Daza, who said: “Like you guys, I’ve been to Hong Kong and back since I was young but I really didn’t get to see its other side. West Kowloon Cultural District (WKCD), for instance, is a newly developed destination that took 20 years to build and come up with a beautiful space for people to appreciate the arts and culture. Everything is walking distance in WKCD. There are also a lot of cute cafes and third-wave coffee specialty stores.”
