While premium dry-aged steaks will always be the calling card of Wolfgang’s Steakhouse by Wolfgang Zwiener, those who overlook the fact that it is also home to a wide selection of wines, cocktails, spirits, and beer would be largely mistaken.
Its proclivity for curating top shelf drinks can be evidenced by the recognitions it got from wine and wine culture lifestyle magazine Wine Spectator. In 2016 and 2017, Wolfgang’s Steakhouse’s Resorts World location received a one-goblet rating from Wine Spectator—a recognition given to establishments that feature a discriminating assortment of wines from the world’s best producers.
This penchant for offering exquisite libation extends from its wine cellar to its long wooden bar, which boasts equally tasteful cocktails. And with Wolfgang’s Steakhouse’s Happy Hour, you can drop by any of their two Philippine locations – Resort’s World (3 p.m. to 8 p.m., Monday to Friday) and at The Podium (3 p.m. to 6 p.m., and 9 p.m. to 12 a.m., Monday to Friday) – to enjoy their fine selection of drinks at special prices.
Overthyme
A drink that can only be found in Wolfgang’s Steakhouse Philippines, this refreshing cocktail begins with Botanist Gin, muddled strawberries, a nice tartness from juiced Ruby red grapefruit, a dash of freshly cracked pepper, a dash of balsamic vinegar for a subtle zing, sweetness from Wolfgang’s Steakhouse’s infused thyme syrup, finished with a splash of Fever Tree Ginger Beer to round out the slight earthiness.
Espresso Martini
Because it’s always a good time for an Espresso Martini. This concoction is a blend of Stolichnaya Vodka, Kahlua, and espresso for that perfectly buzzing kick.
Jalisco Spike
A recipe originally from Wolfgang’s Steakhouse’s Japan locations, the drink is made with 1800 Reposado Tequila, Crème de Casis, house-made all spice syrup, lime juice, saline solution, ginger. The tequila’s kick is enhanced by the fresh and robust spice of ginger, as well as the house-made all-spice syrup. To add an extra layer of flavor, black currant liqueur is added together with the fresh lime juice, while saline solution made from Prague salt gives the drink a distinctly dry and salty finish.
