It’s that time of the year again when the biggest tour associations in the Philippines gather together for the grandest tourism convention in the country. From July 5 to 8, the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City will be home to exhibitors from various tourism industry shareholders who will all be part of Travel Madness Expo 2018.
Travel Madness is a yearly event that hosts many of the country’s top travel agencies, as well as representatives from the food and retail industry, domestic hotels and resorts, airlines, theme parks, and cruise agencies. This year’s Travel Madness Expo 2018 is sponsored by the Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI), together with the Philippine Airlines, Duty Free Philippines, Sabre, in cooperation with the Taiwan Tourism Bureau based in Kuala Lumpur.
This unique travel expo started seven years ago now, when local travel industry icons organizers Raymond Tee, and Pat Alberto, president and vice president respectively of Travel Innovators ,Inc (TII) decided to help other travel agencies to market during what’s considered to be tourism’s wee months and to encourage many people to consider travel. The latter is made easy by the tons of promotions and special offers made available by all the exhibitors at Travel Madness, which is the only travel expo that’s always scheduled at the second half of the year. It’s tourism and travel made easy, and affordable, as cost has always been the biggest obstacle for many people.
With various options for both local and international travel, Travel Madness has become an effective medium for promoting many of the country’s tourism spots, which include popular destinations as well as up and coming attractions. After all, there’s more to local travel than just Boracay.
With a bigger venue this year, Travel Madness is expected to attract tens of thousands of attendees, following successful turnouts from the previous years.
