Ayala Malls Join the PH Government as it Ramps Up COVID-19 Vaccinations Nationwide

In an aim to support the government’s national vaccination drive dubbed as “Bayanihan, Bakunahan” Day, Ayala Malls partnered with LGUs all over the country to give additional vaccine access against COVID-19, servicing and expediting vaccination for the various communities it serves, including minors.

The drive was held from November 29 to December 3 to push the country closer to its vaccination target of around 54 million Filipinos by December 31.

Accessible vaccine for all
In the national vaccination drive, Ayala Malls facilitated increased vaccination activities over its ten malls nationwide. Spanning from Luzon to Visayas and Mindanao, residents troop to get 1st dose or booster shots of the COVID-19 vaccines, pushing the spirit of ‘Bayanihan.’

“We aim to bring service to more Filipinos and help our country rise above this global health crisis. About 26,000 vaccinated and protected individuals within Metro Manila and neighboring cities, particularly in places outside the capital region, availed of the vaccines on top of the eight hundred twenty-five thousand (825,000) individuals who received jabs at our facilities in the past months. Our malls partnered with LGUs once again to administer more vaccines to the community,” Ayala Land President and CEO Bobby Dy shares.

Ayala Malls brings its vaccination initiatives to focus primarily on outer regions to assist the government in reaching a higher vaccination rate among Filipinos. With a 12,761 vaccination turn up, Ayala Malls in Luzon had the highest number of accommodated individuals. Visayas branches also participated in the national vaccination drive for three days from November 29 to December 1, protecting 7,694 residents. To minimize the further spread of COVID-19 from future surges, Ayala Malls in Mindanao also held vaccination activities, servicing 4,613 people.

Ayala Malls is one with the government’s goal to ramp up and intensify the campaign against COVID-19. Health and local government officials call the nationwide vaccination drive success as they exceed their target number of 9 million vaccinated individuals, mobilizing all stakeholders and logistics to facilitate the vaccination with COVID-19 vaccines.
