Kultura launches its AlterNATIVE collection- on September 26, 2017 at 6’oclock in the evening at the Upper Ground Level Mall Atrium in SM Aura.
The collection features brands that bring together indigenous weaves, local fabrics, and traditional details from cultural communities with modern styling and contemporary silhouettes.
These include Kaayo’s ethnic chic blazers that fuse the best embroidery and beading traditions from Mindanao with modern silhouettes; Violet Vine’s elegant and relaxed embroidered tunics and dresses; and Linea Etnika’s intricate Yakan woven patterns from Zamboanga City in clean lines and classic cuts.
Other brands give a fresh spin to exquisite Philippine embroidery. Nuevo Ystilo creates a whole new look by bringing touches of modern design with traditional embroidery techniques and delicately woven fabric; while Raffaella pays homage to time-honored Philippine traditions through intricate hand-painted and embroidered details that are worked on homegrown fabrics like abaca, piña, and silk cocoon.
Take a fresh look at Kultura’s take on Filipino traditional clothing from La Herminia and Tygie with a contemporary vibe, elegantly designed, and intricately made.
Kultura’s AlterNATIVE collection is available at Kultura stores located at SM Aura Premier, SM Makati, SM Megamall, the SM Mall of Asia, SM Lanang Premier, SM City Cebu, SM Seaside, and SM City Cebu. Kultura boutiques are also located in Pico de Loro, Taal Vista, and the Molo Mansion, Iloilo. Visit http://www.kulturafilipino.com to discover more about Kultura.
