To kick-off the grand celebration, Rustan’s has invited special guests and partners to Rustan’s Makati for an evening of merriment. Those who attended the launch were able to get a preview of the special exhibit dedicated to the founders of the Rustan’s — Gliceria Tantoco and Bienvenido Tantoco Sr.. The Many Facets of Glecy Tantoco: Retail Extraordinaire will show the founder and the brand she built on its journey from inception to present time.
During the program, some members of the Tantoco Family were invited on stage to commemorate the celebration – SSI Group Inc. President Anton Huang, Rustan Commercial Corporation Chairman Emeritus Amb. Bienvenido Tantoco Sr., and Rustan Commercial Corporation Chairman and CEO Zenaida Tantoco, as well as Sta. Elena Properties Executive Vice President and Rustan Supercenters Chairman of the Board Bienvenido “Rico” Tantoco Jr., Rustan Commercial Corporation Member of the Board Maritess Tantoco Enriquez, and Rustan Coffee Corporation Director of Store Development and Rustan’s Flower Shop President Menchu Tantoco Lopez. Joining them on stage were esteemed partners from HSBC and Ayala Corporation, namely HSBC’s Jasmine Gonzales, HSBC’s Kris Werner, HSBC’s Anya Katigbak Cajucom.
Lastly, to end the program, the first leg of the Private Label Fashion Roadshow was staged during the event, highlighting some of the exclusive brands under Rustan’s such as Ricardo Preto, U by Ricardo Preto, Jill by Jojie Lloren, Criselda Lontok, Lady Rustan, Rustan’s Jr and Rustanette. These respected designers have created a specially crafted capsule collection featuring the beautiful BLUE SAPPHIRE –the regal shade that celebrates 65 years and the corporate color of Rustan’s Department Store.
It was indeed a celebration of elegance and luxury, all in honor of the 65 extraordinary years of Rustan’s.
