Brass Filipinas Festival 2017

Brass Filipinas group is excited to hold it first ‘Brass Filipinas Festival, a 3-day rehearsal/workshop/concert festival that aims to build a strong community of brass musicians in the country. The final concert will take place in Rizal Park Open-Air Auditorium’s “Concert At The Park”. Admission is free.
Brass music refers to performance of brass instruments in Western classical music (i.e. trumpet, French horn, trombone, euphonium and tuba). These have become a vital part of the Philippine musical culture through brass bands that play in festivities.
Brass Filipinas Festival is the first of its kind. Notable musicians who will be seen include Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra’s associate conductor, Dr. Herminigildo Ranera and legendary trumpet player and pedagogue, Prof. Roger Llado.
The Committee
Brass Filipinas is headed by Bernie Flores, a Hong Kong based teacher and musician along with the festival committee members Robert Salazar, Linwell Lalic and Precious dela Cruz.
