If you are a Euro-linguist, and fluent in Russian, unfortunately, we aren’t; but lucky for you, it’s peanuts & cakes for you to understand the trailer of a forthcoming horror movie entitled, “The Bride.” Incidentally, there are no English subtitles in the trailer; hence, we are miserably missing out what audio-visually presented that seems to be a narrative structure. One thing is certain; however, whatever is going on in the trailer, apparently, it is horrifying.
When the trailer of “The Bride” was shown in the internet and the cinemas, this piece appears revoltingly frightening. You may not immediately get the idea what is going on, but there appears a couple of timelines unfolding. Firstly, in the past that involves a photographer and the corpse of a bride. Secondly, in the present day, as the titular ghost comes back to possess and to haunt some people. A haunted place is the Stefon’s night clubs. The trailer possesses everything, such as, a wedding, a woman crawling-style-toward the camera, a corpse jump scares, and nosebleeds.

Either subtitles trailer or not, the movie is meant to scare the wit out of you, more so, to entertain for your bloody heart’s content. But who needs words when the images are so freakin’ terrifying? Clearly, a white-gowned spirit who’s been in the grave for a century or so has risen to be the ultimate Bridezilla. Enjoy your nightmares, in the meantime.
THE BRIDE tells the story of a small town girl named Nastya. Newly married, her husband Ivan drives her to his hometown to meet his family. Upon their arrival Nastya feels she made a wrong decision: surrounded by uncanny people and eerie photos all around the house. Soon, Ivan disappears while his family prepares Nastya for a mysterious traditional Russian wedding ceremony. She struggles to calm herself down hoping all of this will end and that they will live happily ever after. Only if she can stay alive …
