Waterfront Cebu City Hotel & Casino staged several large-scale events in the last three months, the first of which feted Pink October as Breast Cancer Month. Several cancer survivors and personalities modeled pink creations at the hotel lobby. There was also a bridal fair featuring the upscale talents and services of Cebu’s top wedding suppliers and eventologists. A much-anticipated event was the Victoria Secret Lingerie Show at a little-known Waterfront function room. It was followed by a fashion show for all ages featuring over 40 of Cebu’s top mannequins and was capped by a grandiose Christmas tree lighting ceremony and dinner for media friends and guests.

Plantation Bay Resort & Spa celebrated its 20th fruitful year of existence with a lavish beach party with past resort employees, loyal clientele, dignitaries, and media personalities. The veteran Firelights Band dished out timeless melodies that had guests swaying to the music amidst a sumptuous buffet and glamorous food servers. Highlighting the event was the launch of a coffee table book written by resort owner Manny Gonzales. The book dwelt on resort personalities, facilities, and memorable happenings. An explosive colorful fireworks display ensured that the event would forever be etched in the memories of the attendees.
Waterfront Airport Hotel & Casino held their own “Emerald Christmas” as well as their 20th anniversary presentation at the hotel lobby, which was bedecked with green décor. A video production depicted the growth of the hotel and the personnel through the years, featuring memorable guests and hotel personnel. The hotel further commemorates the holiday season with its Christmas Eve Dinner Buffet, Christmas Day Lunch and Dinner Buffet, Santa Claus Meet and Greet (Dec. 24 to 25), New Year’s Eve Buffet and Party, and New Year’s Day Buffet. Guests can also enjoy Christmas melodies at the lobby from Dec. 16 to 24 during dinnertime.
