A ‘pawsitively’ exciting seminar at Hard Rock Cafe Manila
On October 16, Hard Rock Cafe Manila hosted a free Global Cat Day Awareness Seminar, celebrating our feline friends and championing their well-being. Running from 1 PM to 4 PM, the event featured expert veterinarians, cat lovers and enthusiasts who shared their knowledge on cat care, behavior, adoption, and welfare.
Feline focus: topics of the day
Understanding how to properly care for cats is vital to safeguarding their well-being and to enhancing the bond between humans and their feline companions. Proper education on cat health, behavior, and nutrition can significantly improve the quality of life of our furry friends, ensuring that they thrive as cherished family members.
The seminar covered a range of topics that are integral—even critical—to responsible cat care, such as:
- Health of Cats and Kittens
- Diet and Nutrition
- Grooming Tips
- Helping and Saving Stray Cats
Special guests included Dr. Apol Guimpayan from Makati Animal Medical Center Inc., who discussed the health of our feline companions; Dr. Ariel Poliquit from Zoetis PH, who shed light on cat behavior; and Dr. Joan Lumabiang, who explored the diverse world of cat breeds and their beautiful coats. Additional insights were provided by Ms. Lala Ursal on grooming and Ms. Rina Ortiz from Biyaya Animal Care, who spoke about the importance of helping stray cats. Lastly, Dr. Tat Reano of Broadchem Philippines Biopharma Corporation focused on core vaccinations, deworming, and the significance of spaying and neutering.
It was a delightful afternoon of sharing knowledge and building connection among cat parents and enthusiasts, alike!
